Hunting – Numbulwar Clinic opening ceremony – Numburindi Festival 2017 – Crabbing

A short video of our trip to Numbulwar Community, Northern Territory Australia.

    NUMBUL-WHERE?

Numbulwar is an Australian Indigenous community located on the South East coast of Northern Territory, about 780 km from Darwin. To get there took about 12 hours drive with 200km unsealed road.

Our lovely hosts took us hunting, crabbing and going to Numburindi festival. We were lucky that the Numbulwar clinic opening ceremony was happening at the time we arrived as well. At the same time the Numburindi Festival was happening and we have the opportunity to witness the amazing ceremony and dance party in the community.

Bullet time effect – Still cameras array – Time slice

I first thought about bullet time camera effect when watching Red Hot Chilli Peppers live at Slane when Kiedis jumped and the camera panned from one side to other. I could never think about the logic how the hell they do it with only one camera or software effects. The camera panning must be super fast to create that sort of motion, I thougth. Then I found out that Bullet time camera effect is what they used, its a scene created when a frozen motion is panned using gazillion of camera set up around the object.

Here are some example of amazing examples beside the most famous one, Matrix movie bullet time scene and they are not the first time to use this technique:

Having Fun with Custom BOKEH 2 – 2012 (Mindil Fireworks)

In my previous post about Custom Bokeh, I mentioned about how to create custom shaped bokeh for still photography. On Thursday, I visited the opening season of Mindil Beach Markets in Darwin with fireworks and I practice the custom bokeh for that. The result was pretty entertaining and colorful, I couldnt stop myself watching them and here it is the video:
